While not all-inclusive, we do want to share the key feedback we’re hearing from the LHCS community.

Opposing the Proposal:

  • Why close a school that is doing a great job serving its community?

  • Upper Campus does not seem prepared to accept all K-5 students (space, accommodations, etc.)

  • Will LHCS families outside new proposal boundaries be grandfathered into their existing path? With or without bussing?

Opposing a Delayed Vote:

  • Consolidating Upper & Lower is expected to allow for consistent staffing

  • Consolidating may minimize the likelihood of families leaving the district after 2nd grade

  • Uncertainty may deter prospective families
 
 

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! Please fill out the LHCS PTA’s survey about MPS School Transformation before it closes on Oct 7th. The data we collect will be used to help members of the PTA organize, act and take information back to the Superintendent, MPS Senior Leadership and the Minneapolis School Board.
