After the initial proposal to the MPS School Board on 9/15, MPS Leadership held a meeting on 9/25 to respond to initial community feedback. Therein, they covered the following topics:

  • Definitions of "optimally sized school” and merger

  • Class sizes

  • Enrollment data

  • Financial information

  • Timeline

Additionally, MPS Superintendent Dr. Lisa Sayles-Adams released a video on 9/29  addressing the initial feedback received.
 
 
 

The additional information provided by MPS does not substantively impact our assessment of the proposals, and no update to our resolution is planned at this time. We will continue to evaluate future responses by the district as necessary.
