Please join us for our second annual Lake Harriet Author Night on Weds, February 5th from 6:00-8:00pm at Lower Campus to celebrate reading and community! This all-school event is for Upper and Lower families. It will feature Kao Kalia Yang, a local BIPOC author, who will read her books The Rock in My Throat and Caged. Please feel free to bring a blanket to sit on or a stuffie to snuggle!
We welcome kids and families to enjoy this amazing author and earn Read-a-Thon minutes! We invite families to mingle with friends, chat with the author, and shop a selection of books by BIPOC authors and illustrators with local, independent bookstore Wild Rumpus. The evening will also be the last chance to shop the Scholastic Book Fair! We can't wait to see you for an uplifting night of stories and connection.
